Family owned for over 80 years
The Alberton Hotel typifies what is great about S.A. Pubs – rich in history, superb facilities and one of the state's most prominent family businesses.
Running a traditional family pub has been a way of life for the Briens since Peter’s Grandfather took the Southwark Hotel on Port Road in 1902.
The Brien Family has held the license at The Alberton since September 1940. It was Peter (Senior) and his wife Kathleen in charge, now his son Peter (Junior) with his son Matthew and daughter Rebecca are the caring hands at the wheel.
The core business of the Alberton is to be an exceptional family pub and provide excellent service in all departments.
